Thanks fellas.......I took a little break from car stuff while we were working on the pool. Finally got everything tuned on the car. I do have a few more mods for the car that will take it to about 750hp. I'm currently about 610-620hp. ![](http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v16/G35Coupe/Car%20stuff/6142450887_a784db7172_b.jpg)

Why so much power Rich? ...To leave your 'carbon' footprint? Huh, rubberprint? ...Streetprint? Whateverprint? Or simply to get away very fast from unwanted forces of nature, like unknown disguised police cars and all tat Jazz... ;D

Well Bob............no real reason except I like to tinker with everything I own. The expression on unsuspecting fellow drivers is priceless when I leave spiritedly.

We test-drove a CTS coupe over the weekend. Not the V model, I have no interest in that, but the standard model. VERY nice car. Come on....556hp is fun ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) Until you see the gas mileage ![:-[](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/embarrassed.png) Exactly. Been there, done that (CL63.) I'm too old for that kind of thing these days. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Did you make the switch to a Prius, David? My wife did. Went from a 650i to the Prius cuz she wanted to go "green". Yeah that lasted about 6 months. She's got a 7 now. lol

Did you make the switch to a Prius, David? You mean the ugliest car in the world? No thank you. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) The current front runner for new buggy is a Fiat 500.

I had an International pickup truck once (Heavy Duty 3/4 Ton with a 392 engine in it). I don't know if you're aware, but the steel frame of an International truck is very solid, like a tractor. Heavy Duty means: two rear set of springs for heavy loads (I had an 11.5 foot camper on it), and it had two full size gas tanks. Also, it had two large spare tires with heavy rims (one in front of the front grille, and the other under the long box at the rear).
I had that truck for about ten years or so, and was using it for my work in the bush all across British Columbia and Alberta. And I tell you this; in my ex-line of work I did a LOT of travelling all around, and on the steepest and highest mountains. And all my working gear weighted a LOT, very heavy gear and tools. Plus that huge camper on it, fully loaded with you name it!
Guess how many miles to the gallon I was getting? ...With all my gear, camper, and up the dirt roads of the mountains? Heck, try to even guess that on the highway!
________________
By the way, if you have guessed about 6-7 miles to the gallon on dirt roads, you would be correct. And roughly 10-11 miles per gallon on the highway.

I like to ride my RC51 at about 9,000 RPM next to people in a Prius. Then blip the throttle on downshifts and spit a 12'' flame with the unburnt fuel in my pipes lol. Yeah, I'm that guy sometimes.

I'm a tree hugger but cannot afford a Prius and if I could wouldn't get one. They are just too common. I'd like to get a Mini Cooper though.

That reminds me of back when I worked for the local Suzuki/Kawasaki dealer. One day the owner had me taking the floor models that were fully serviced out for a spin to keep everything working properly. I had taken out a Suzuki 1400 intruder (v twin for those that don't know) and I was accelerating back up to speed after turning around to head back to the shop.As I looked down at the speedo I saw that I was getting a little too fast so I chopped the throttle and the beast popped real loud with some mild backfires. It turns out the poor guy in the next lane was right next to me with his window down and it scarred the beejezus out of him.I swear it wasn't intentional but he swerved big time and gave me the evil eye. ;D I felt kind of bad but at the same time it was funny.

Sweet ride.Did you ever see this video of a Hennessey CTS-V at the strip? The clip of the exhaust note made me think of it. I thought it was pretty funny myself. www.youtube.com/watch?v=8As1zshWxn0
