Really enjoy this movie, not fast paced by any means but interesting and well acted. Picture quality is only so so per the directors intention but the sound is decent.

The Martian on 4K player. I thought I was having problems with the newish TV with a lot of artifacts, motion lag in both cable receiver and ATV 4K. TV is okay, Martian was beautiful on 4K and can't argue with "I'm gonna science the sh** out of this." But I wish I watched the First Man on Imax. Oh well, first world problems as I just have to watch it on a big 4k TV.

I had pre-ordered Avengers: Endgame months ago, as has happened a few times in the past, the movie got sent out on Thursday for a next Tuesday delivery. Lucky me, I live quite close to the distribution warehouse and I end up getting the movie on Saturday. Anyhow, just finished seeing the movie for the third time, this time in my home theater, and wow, the audio is always way better than the AMC or CMX movie theaters. This time I had an audience of 4 guests and they too were blown away seeing it the first time. Best part is I'm noticing things I didn't notice the first 2 views at the movie theaters. Highly recommended, which goes without saying for me being a huge MCU fan!!!

May take a bit longer but should be very good. I’ll watch it again in 4K when my buddy gets his. I’ve only seen it once so far. Popcorn 🍿 should be much cheaper this time. This was the first time I’ve been to a theater in a decade or so.

Well I’ll prob be in the minority on this one but I was pretty bored and disappointed with Endgame. Easily my least favorite Avenger movie. Picture was decent and sound was typical Disney, tame. Sound was pretty front heavy and really only the score was coming through on the surrounds, not a lot of activity in the sides/back. The movie really pulls off nostalgia from past films of which I own all of them, but that left me with a huge feeling of “Ive already seen all of this” I wanted to see something new. But the biggest offender for me was the serious lack of action. Half hour tops for a 3 hour film. Wish I would have rented it honestly.

Watched "Aquaman" on Bluray last night. Movie is okay, good for spending a few hours snuggled on the couch with my wife 😁.
Visual and sound effects are pretty cool. Plenty of low frequencies. Continues to be amazed how punchy the little Rythmik L12 sub is even with movies. We could feel the couch vibrating during many of the scenes, besides the auditory impact.

+1 on that... If you liked the original Godzilla movies then you'll LOVE this one. Finally... it's really Godzilla... not some girly poser looking for a nesting spot....

Best workout my Theatre has gotten in months. Watched it last night and I agree. We enjoyed the heck out of it. Loved seeing all the old monsters make cameos; a few of which I'd long forgotten about. Very cool
Effects were pretty good but sound was phenomenal. Lots of deep bass that actually pointed out a few vibration flaws I need to address. The JTR subs are no joke. Scott

I was thinking about moving away from my massive horn loaded subs...think Jtr orbit shifters but DIY. This movie completely convinced me otherwise.. I forget what they are capable of some days.

DIY subs are always fun to play with but really hard to get the stuff below 20 with lots of volume unless you really know what you're doing.
The S2s measured; in a wide open field (sans in-room response)
100 dB at 12 Hz 112 at 20 Hz 126 dB at 40 Hz
