Thanks! The 60 is now on order...had to pay shipping as it's not eligible for free shipping, but what the heck...$18.58 for a good BluRay player. I can't turn that down!
I have a feeling that once I get the UMC-1 and a new Panny AE4000 projector that I will live with the BD60 for a while. Then, once we have enough BR disks, I will get either an OPPO or something for my main theater and move the 60 to our upstairs TV. (I have a "time share" HT...share w/the kids and wife...)

Yeah - I'm grinning like a Chesire cat! Now, if I could just get a similar deal on that projector...

I got my Panny BD60 yesterday, and I am thrilled with the video quality. I have not had a chance to AB it vs. my older DVD players for video or audio, but it's nice for sure. And, for just $18.58...can't argue! I watched Up and the 2nd Night at the Museum (each w/BluRay disks) with the kids today - we loved it. And, my son thought the video quality was better than our Sony DVD player for a regular disk of the 2nd Transformers movie.

If you haven't already, hook it up to the internet and update the firmware if it didn't already have the latest. The latest firmware includes Amazon VOD that you can stream movies. You've probably already done this, in that case sit back and enjoy!

I am very appreciative of the reco you gave - a nice unit!
On updating firmware, I've not done that yet. Since it came in, I went to a hockey game w/my son, hung Christmas lights outside, and went out on the town the next night w/my family. And, today is more Christmas decorating, cleaning up the garage & barn, paying bills, doing laundry and watching football. So, more detailed setup will have to wait.
Maybe one night this week...
