Thanks much rather and pitbull! Glad you shared your outting with the subs. Do either one of you have or have heard very many other subs to compare to the rythmik? I was wanting to know how the servo controlled sounds versus most ported subs.

Well I just got a SVS PC13 Ultra Tuesday but still haven't got the chance to hear it yet and the sub before that I had a Definitive Tech SuperCube 1 but that wasn't ported

Rather, Did he mention when he will be releasing the 12in downfiring in Piano Black? ;D Rather, did you get the chance to compare the 12 with the 15? If so, what are your thoughts? Rythmic is the only sub on my shortlist along with Emo's subs. Good choice in going with the front firing one. How many subs are you planning to buy? we only heard the 15s. actually the 12 that we saw was a prototype (this is the 12 inch version of the downfiring SE) at this time I plan to buy only one sub but I suspect that may morph into a second sub down the line

He told us that was a prototype and sort of moved on to something else. Pitbullmike took the picture but my impression was that he did not want us to spread the word about it (not really sure why). If I had to guess, I think he will move to production soon (e.g., in the next few months) but it would be best to contact him directly.

Well I just got a SVS PC13 Ultra Tuesday but still haven't got the chance to hear it yet and the sub before that I had a Definitive Tech SuperCube 1 but that wasn't ported the SVS is an incredible sub but WAY to large for my room (and my room isn't exactly small). I had no idea this sub was as tall as it was. It was almost as tall as my Mirage M3-si! I think I'm going with a power cube from Rythmik (the F15)

Right now I'm considering the purchase of a new pair of subwoofers. I'm considering the Rythmik Audio D15 Direct Servo SE subwoofer, the new Epik Empire or purchasing a "used" single Martin Logan Descent i or a pair of ML Depth i's. For R/L mains I'll be using electrostatics which will either be a pair of ML Spires or Summit's or possibly the Kings Audio Prince II's www.kingsaudio.com.hk/products.html#prince2 . I heard these at CES and was completely taken in with them. From your posts it looks like I may want something more like a pair of the front firing F15's as I want it to blend better toward stereo with the speakers. I'm not able to listen to all of these subs around my area and so if I'm going to have travel a few hours to listen to something I'd like to weed out what I can. Anyone have any input on these different subs? Other recomendations? Naturally, to mate well with electrostatics, the sub will have to be extremely fast and musical. Not just a bunch of slam! I don't care that a sub can do 115db at 18Hz. My neighbors already hear my old subs but it's time to improve. I'm looking for a sub that's tight and articulate and to be able to effortlessly hit those low frequencies. The sub will be for the HT and for critical stereo enjoyment. My room is a family room about 32'x28', 8' ceiling and I use an area about 24'x28' for the HT/stereo area. Please post any helpful comments. Let me know what you think!

If your looking for absolute subbass detail and resolve, the Rythmik 15" is as good as its gonna get under $1k. You can get ruler flat bass from 17hz-80hz. And you can expect to get room shaking output still without having it break a sweat. No its not a DB "BOOM" monster like some of the other offerings, but if you want a seamless blend into your main speakers and want to hear detail that you just thought never possible from a sub, than its your best bet. This is coming from an previous owner of a pair of SVS Ultra 13's, ED A5s-300's, 2 B&W subs,a pair of Paradigm Servo-15's(long time ago),3 different Kef model subs(multiple PSW 2500,3500,4000's which I am currently in the process of swapping out)and a few older Vandersteen and Rel models as well. And I just got done setting up an Epik Empire with a full afternoon of listening and tweaking as well, its very good for HT and casual duty music, but its not what I consider a true audiophile sub. You would have to spend about $2k more to get the type of detail and articulation you will from a Rythmik 15". And thats the Revel B15A which is what I consider the gold standard for an audiophile sub.

Everything that I've read in various forums sure has me about sold on these Rythmik subs. It looks like you've had a lot of experience with a lot of different subs! I would really love to hear how the Rythmik compares to the Martin Logan Descent i which I would purchase used. I can purchase one for about the same price as a pair of Rythimik D15SE's or F15's. More and more it's sounding like Rythimik is the way to go.

I have given up waiting - with the dollar strengthening daily I am biting the bullet and getting an F15. I'm just sorry I didn't order in November or December.

But I wouldnt take one over a used or new Revel B15A or an F/D15, unless your talking about a steal of a price(well below $1k)used.........Id like to know what the used price is, but for example I see mint condition used Revel B15A's all the time on Audiogon in the $1200-1500 range, and I would take one of those without hesitation for that price.
