Anyone have experience with Hsu subs? In particular, the VTF-3 MK 3? Does the turbo make enough difference to justify the price? My room is 23 x 23 x9 = 4761 cu. ft. Seems like Hsu would be a good comparator to the Ultras.

I have the VTF-3 MK2 and can say that it is a great sub. However, I recently replaced it with dual Martin Logan Dynamos in my 2-channel system. The dual Dynamos completely blow away the Hsu for music. I am now sold on the dual-sub concept. That being said, the Hsu works fine for movies in my 7.1 system, although after experiencing dual subs I think that a pair of the smaller offerings from Elemental Design, Martin Logan or Rythmik Audio would be better than the Hsu if you have the space/budget. Good luck and enjoy the music!

I had dual 3.3's in my room and they were FANTASTIC. Wish I still had 'em.

I had a single 3.3, just sold it to upgrade.
It was a great sub, A little port noise when driven hard in ME tuning mode.
Good slam when in MO mode.
I wanted duals and Hsus have lost some of their perfomance/value ratio with the introduction of the more recent subs. Ex. Epik Empire AV123 MFW-15 ED Subs
