I watch the duel of the end of #4 in DTS-X (7.2.4) the other day as I was setting up my AV8802, and that sound was amazing. I can definitely see Dolby Atmos/DTS:X doing this series justice, especially since my 7.2 setup is quite immersive with just the bed channels!

Predator in 4K. It’s worth the upgrade and really looks great!

I read the Avengers Age of Ultron 4K uhd-bluray has the same "low volume" and "bass timid" audio track problem that the original blu-ray suffers from. Well I wasn't going to buy this in 4k, but I'm certainly glad that I did, as my version, the 4K uhd-bluray Steelbook edition from BestBuy sounds quite full, rich with stout bass, and on the video side definitely an improvement, especially with HDR. I can also add, all of the steelbook version that I bought, the audio tracks(Dolby Atmos in this case) are improvements over their previous blu-ray versions.

Bought this off eBay for $30 + tax, mainly for the "Hunt For Red October". Oddly enough I've never completely seen the other four movies, so hopefully I'm in for a surprise with these 4K HDR versions.

So how was it, better/same/worse than the first? Own 4K or RedBox rental?

I also noticed the heavily attenuated audio track from the Thor Ragnarok blu ray as well. Thought there was a problem with my rig at first.

I got this collection on Amazon's Prime Day. Admittedly I had never seen one of these movies and just wasn't really interested one way or the other until I saw this Prime Day deal. The DTS:X track is quite engulfing(fantastic usage of the side and rear surrounds), and my experience is just the 7.1 bed of channels. Video is quite stunning as in HDR, and so far my experience with this 8 movie collection is just the first movie, "the Sorcerer's Stone", so I'm definitely thinking this series will only get better video-wise as I move through all eight. just finished watching all 8 movies over a few weeks with my son... these are nice transfers...but the remixed audio....from 1-8 are reference quality DTS-X THIS is how immersive sound is supposed to be ...WOW!!!!

I've only seen the first two movies, and I've not seen any of the blu-rays, but I am quite impressed with the video remastering and the DTS-X track of these UHD blu-rays are quite impressive.

Saw it when it first came out. Forgot how unusual a movie it was. A new take having monsters as the good guys. Scott

Good entertainment for the evening, I’d rate it a do not purchase but should view. 🍿 🍿 & 1/2 out of Five I'm in no hurry to see this, as I was highly disappointed with episodes 7 & 8, though I enjoyed Rogue One. Probably a RedBox rental or streaming option if it makes it to NetFlix or Prime Video. Personally I'm still in the middle of the UHD-bluray Harry Potter movies and the Jack Ryan UHD-bluray's. I am looking forward to the release of Ant-man and the Wasp in a couple of weeks.

First time since we had seen it at the teather. Somehow it seemed less silly and cartoonish this time, but I do agree that Rogue One is so far the best of the new lot.
