I must have missed it somewhere....what are the power ratings for the various XPR amps? Are they all double the XPA series counterparts? The ratings that were given at EmoFest were conservative as quoted from Big Dan: XPR-7: 350 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 600 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels driven XPR-5: 400 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 800 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels driven XPR-2: 600 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 1200 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels driven XPR-1:1000 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 2000 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels driven Awesome! Thanks for the info LCSeminole. ...and I am guessing that line two in those specs should read @ 4 ohms. Also, if the $1299 price point holds on the XPR-1, that will be one HECK of a sweet deal!!! Seriously. 1k watt monoblocks (that double into 4ohms) for $1299.00!!! I am in shock!!! ;D

Even better! Not that one is going to notice the difference between 300 and 350 Watts...

XPR-7: 350 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 600 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels driven. Projected price $1999.00
XPR-5: 400 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 800 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels driven. Projected price $1699.00
XPR-2: 600 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 1200 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels driven. Projected price $1499.00 XPR-1:1000 watts RMS @ 8 ohms per channel, all channels driven 2000 watts RMS @ 4 ohms per channel, all channels. Projected price $1299.00OK, I made this post just to have the price and power information together. That way I don't have to keep looking back through old posts to find it. I also fixed what is believed to be a typo. A big thank you to LCSeminole for providing this information. Please remember that these power and dollar figures are subject to change at the discretion of Emotiva and/or it's employees.

I want one of those XPRs and I sure don't need the power, the question is, can my breaker take it?? and will it fit in my rack?? nuf said If you pick anything higher than the XPR-2, then no, a standard 120V/15A US circuit won't handle it. You will need at least a 240V/20A line (NEMA 6 connector) to run them at full power. I would get 30A to be safe at 4ohms.

paintedklown, You are correct that I typo'ed, or rather copy & pasted after the first line and forgot the 4 ohm. As Big Dan & Lonnie said in the 1st presentation, these are conservative figures. You are also correct in that the prices are Projected and that Emotiva, ie: Big Dan can change these price figures before release.

I want to add that those are also PROJECTED SPECS. From my understanding, they may change slightly based upon final testing. It is likely that they will reach those specs, but may final posted specs may be lower in order to meet compliance. Just like other Emotiva amps, they may be under rated.

Wow!!! $25k for similar power??? Could you imagine a head-to-head with the XPR-1 in a major magazine? Lonnie and Dan wouldn't be able to keep up with the orders!

If Emotiva keeps making both lines of amps I can't see the consumer picking the more expensive amp unless they really need that much power. The same could be said about a Ferrari......but they seem to sell as many of those as they can make. Consumers aren't always the most logical lot. "Fools and their money are lucky to get together in the first place". ;D

I don't think the equipment will have any problem hitting the mark but they may reduce it to make sure you're not melting your power wires. The mentioned that they did this on the XPR-7 (from 400 to 350) because of that.

Thanks for posting all those pics - very nice! Even though I didn't go I would like to say it is nice doing business with a company that takes care of its customers like that!

Just clicked on "slideshow" and watched all 800+ photos. Had to hit "pause" in the middle for a "break" to refill my wine glass. Obviously fun was had by all. Captions would have been nice, especially for those photos which included Emotiva staff (other than Dan and Cathy, of course). I do realize that photos of couples (where one of the "couple" was *not* the spouse/significant other) might prefer to remain anonymous. In addition to producing great audio/video products, Emotiva certainly knows how to throw one h--- of a party! Deral

Deral Well I was kind of wondering if some of those name badges were turned around on purpose. ;D Also in a few shots it looked like people were deliberately doing things to obscure the name badge, such as holding a drink in front of it or an elbow or whatever. Of course, in most cases it wouldn't have helped much to know the name since we all go by our screen monikers for the most part.

Those were some great pics. It looks like you couldn't beat the weather and a good time was had by all. Maybe next year I'll be able to join in the fun.
Did any of the lounge members win any of the cool swag?
