I called today, after receiving an e-mail from Janna, asking for my payment info. I asked for the fimware to be loaded before they shipped and that was no problem. ... sounds like they already had a plan.

I received the same email. I had also wanted them to delay shipping on mine till the second firmware release. I'm in agreement with the plan and think this is a great idea.
I am looking forward to having this in my system, but thankful I may not have to do an immediate firmware update.

It's the second one that is not done. The first one was cut into production back when it was released and they did in house updates on the ones they already had before shipping to us end users.
At this point I think they are handling it perfect. Take it if you want it or wait until we do the second update.

Wait for the 2nd update. I just spent a frustrating night watching TV since I had to change inputs after every FF through a commercial tonight. The audio lock issue was in full swing tonight...

Is it safe to say that all shipments that were promised for April 15th (I know there were a lot of them) are still on schedule? I haven't received any e-mail indicating otherwise.

edited, sorry I was supposed to have my shipped scheduled around March 19th...so maybe this won't affect those who were slated for April already. Glad they are going ahead and fixing this, just was a little bummed since i was a week away from getting it |

Well hopefully this is good news for those of us waiting for the firmware upgrade. I would assume that if they are to the point of installing the updates on the to-be-shipped units, then the new version has been completed and is nearly ready for consumer install.

I received the same e-mail as well. To be honest, I would rather wait and receive my unit ready to rock. I think that Emotiva are doing the right thing with this. Shipping the units with the second firmware already in place will save everyone involved some headaches/frustration.  I will be waiting with bells on. ;D |

I got my "delayed" e-mail today. 2 to 3 weeks and I am absolutely fine with that! Now my 30 day worries don't start for 2 to 3 weeks. LOL
I was a 15 April estimated shipping date
Glad to see Emo is doing the f/w update and making sure all is well BEFORE shipping.

I got my "delayed" e-mail today. 2 to 3 weeks and I am absolutely fine with that! I received what sounds like a similar email re: 2 to 3 week delay. However, I had not previously been contacted about a ship date, so I am kind of confused. Was this intended only for those already given a ship date or did this email go to everyone on the wait list? BTW, I am an upgrader from fairly early on the first"pre-order list." |
