Thanks for all of the suggestions fellas...you guys rock!!! I used to plug both XP5 and XP2 and UMC all on the Monster Power conditioner/surge protector. I've narrowed it down to XP5 being the problem for the A/V dropping. I started put plug the UMC on a separate wall outlet and still having problem. Then I plug both XP5 and XP2 to the outlet and UMC on the Monster surge and the problem is less apparent. It's definitely better...instead of dropping every 5-10 seconds...it's now afer a few minutes...so it's definitely problem with the volts/wall outlet issue. I'll have to play around a little more over the weekend but at least I know it's this. This definitely should not happen and hope there will be a patch but for now I'll play around a little more to see if I can get the A/V not to drop anymore...that would be so great. Again..thanks for all the help

Again..thanks for all the help Well....I spoke too soon. Today I powered up the same way I had them hooked up yesterday....and it's dropping again...worse than ever. Sometimes A/V drops and will not come back. My voltage range between 112 - 115 which is a little lower than before. Another thing now is A/V is dropping even when I don't even have the XP5 or XP2 on...which is so weird and I am beginning to get very frustrated....now A/V is not even coming back on. I give up

And in the meantime, if it's audio drop outs via HDMI that you're suffering from, try connecting via optical or coax until the software update is released. Just a humble suggestion that has worked for others...

Thanks for the good suggestion

Well, some rather good news to report. My system sort of stablized, for the Dish Guy came out for four hours yesterday and installed the 722 and upgraded the system and some cable work. This guy was awesome. The best Dish tech I have ever had work on my system. We tried a couple other ways and things are ok sort of. The problem now is that I get the periodic drop off of audio sometimes a little then later alot than I need to go to the mode area and pick out another sound source and that works for a little while. Still trying to get my triggers to work in tandem. Other than that it seems to be much better than before. Any continuing advice would be much appreciated. Now I am trying not to breathe the wrong way...

Now I am trying not to breathe the wrong way... Did you try grouping your inputs together as I suggested in post #9 so there are no unused inputs between the active ones? Bill

I have a Harmony 700 remote. It has an up and a down arrow for which I had no use. I programmed one for HDMI1 which is DVD and one for HDMI2 which is cable. When I have an audio drop out I just push the button for the input I'm using. One button push and I have sound back.
