I just want to make clear I'm not trying to trash your loudspeakers. I bet they are fine sounding speakers. I just think the price is ridiculous. You seem to be of the economic ilk to afford some amazing gear! Have you ever had the chance to hear Pass Labs's amps? The X350.5 would be a fantastic choice for those speakers. Also a USP-1 or soon to be XSP-1 would be a great preamp. I'd also look to moving into the 21st century and use a PC as transport with an external USB DAC.
I'd checkout these DACs or wait for the Emo unit

I wouldn't look to tube amps IMHO I'd tryout those Pass Labs Class A or A/B units. I can't imagine what EJ's dac and pre with an X350.5 would sound like with your Freemonts or say... a pair of Jed Kunz Duet10 or Aria10. Top tier at about $12k all said and done.
