Could anybody check their KAVENTS P2200 to see if yours have fuses? You should open the bottom of the amp to check the fuses!!!
THANKS!!!!!

Hi ErwinBle, Thanks for your input. The heat disipation of these amps is not a bad thing. I have mine sometimes running for 5 straight hours and they are just a little on the hot side. You do not feel any heat unless you get very close to them and put your hand over them. As far as being the same as the Vincent SP-991, yes and no. The people at Kellsie Audio and Video Designs, Kavent's parent company have used a different approach . They use the same platform and boards as the Vincent SP-991 but they have modified their units by using better and more expensive parts and most of all they have done a power module modification for low power noise at fast transient (~1V/uS slew), especially for US 120V 60Hz power supply and also they have done a tight component tolerance control to improve pure differential symmetry, 1% compared with industrial standard of 5%. I have previously owned a Vincent SP-991 years ago and trust me that inside is not the same as the Kavent P-2200 and most of all and more important they never sounded not even close to the Kavent P-2200. I know this thread is a vintage one, but I need to say -if any is still viewing- that what this forum participant said is not truth... at least in the 230v European version and talking about the Vincent SP-991 Plus, 2.0 version of the previous SP-991. Kavent P-2200 is at best as good as the Vincents, but NEVER better. I have opened mines and they are plenty of Sanken transistors and Nichicon capacitors, with an ultra noise-free 1.500 W transformer each. I am sorry, but what is said about these compared to the Kavents is not true.

Several questions? How much do they weigh...each? I hope they are heavy!
Do you have a way to measure idle power consumed? Like a Kill-A-Watt meter?
What are circuit boards made from?
I don't see a Kavent website. Is there one? Link, please?
