I love the look of the new Rotels processors. Cant imagine paying some of the prices now though. Emotiva is serious value.

I went from a Rotel RMB-1075 ( 5 channel x 120 watt power amp) to 3 x Upa-1 frontstage and a Upa-2 for the surrounds. Cannot hear much difference in HT mode, but it was primarily done to improve my 2 channel sound which was USP-1 with the Upa-2 and now ofcourse Usp-1 with 2 of the Upa-1's. It doesn't really sound better or worse in HT mode, just somewhat different, bit warmer when playing music dvd's i think, but normal movies it becomes harder to pick the difference. Rotel is good stuff , nothing wrong with it, was a happy owner when I had it, but sold it to help offset the 3 x Upa-1 purchase. Center channel has improved though being driven by the Upa-1, it's clearer than it was with the Rotel.

I had a Rotel 1095 amp and was very happy with it. I ended up buying an XPA-5 to see how it compared. I'm honestly not sure if I can hear a difference or if my mind just wants to like the XPA more. Either way, I ended up selling the Rotel. ;D ...Fun post!

Will you all get out of here with your Rotel commercial. We have other problems to resolve instead of listening to your little hints about Rotel

Let me get this straight, because I am really trying to understand the above comment. Most of us jumped from Rotel to Emotiva and you say it is a Rotel commercial?
