The one thing with speakers, is many of us have different tastes. I heard the best Emotiva has at Axpona last year in Jacksonville. I liked it much!... Different rooms and different listening conditions make it impossible for me to make a true comparison; I think they make a fine speaker. If I had to say anything, the Swans, in my home, to me sound more “live”, a tad more forward in the upper mid into highs where the Emo’s were a tad laid back… but this like I said is subjective and you may prefer ones sound over the other. In the end, Rockets, Swans, Emotiva, Axiom and so on are all better bang for the buck when compared to what’s in the stores at at least 2x more in price and in some cases more then that. I was a disbeliever when I first looked into online speakers. I had my own custom speakers using Dynaudio and Scan-Speak parts, so I do like quality. Also, there is one thing I can say about the Swan’s vs Emotiva’s – LOOKS! The Swans look awesome, pictures do not do them justice. They look like they should sound good, and they do… Enjoy all and happy speaker hunting…

Yes, besides sounding fantastic, the Swans are gorgeous, good looking, furniture grade speakers. That is secondary to sound of course but it does make some difference. ;D Wouldn't it be nice if we could all just have all the speakers we wanted to listen to in our room so we could really AB them all and make a sound decision?? You know what I think, I think we'd still not be happy after awhile. Well maybe I should have picked the ............. ;D

Yep.. This hobby can get expensive though, I am on a long term break from any upgrades, even though I wish I could spend for a newer TV, my JVC is aging. Ill have my Swans for a very long time though....

Just press the button and the wall turns and another sound system appears! ;D
