naked is best but get some small black screws or black plugs to cover the screw holes. I took mine off to get them chromed but did not bother because the amp looks so classy w/o the trim.

Nice setup “jordo” but I will improve cabling issue I know this is not a topic but you can improve your sound quality by NOT coil speaker wires – please correct me if I am wrong

Another vote for naked, still need to get some black cap screws though.

It's amazing what removing the silver trim or replacing them with black ones does for the Emo gear. It just looks so much cooler IMO. Almost...dare I say it, higher end, and classier.

Reading all these posts has my mind brewing with ideas. I work at a machine shop as a CNC machinist.
I'll start modifying my pieces of trim and post photos later this week ;D ;D

I think Emo should offer an option to order the equipment with black or silver trim. Maybe add 10 dollars for the black instead of making us take the silver then having to buy the black trim.

Doing OK has the Wood trims made that look great, and some other custom ones so it is nice to have choices. I really like the native silver trims that come stock. I do think it is cool to see the trim experimentations though!

I have the black trim pieces on my UMC-1 and it look a lot better than the original silver trim pieces. I kept the silver screws though, as there's a lot of silver buttons on the front and it looked kinda cheesy with the black screws. If I had just the power amps I would probably go with the black screws. But the black trim pieces is a must in my book. Looks a lot classier....
