I purchased the UPA-1 about 2 months ago and am very pleased. It is very well built and uses excellent parts and materials. I use it to power an eminance 18" passive sub in a 26.5 cubic foot custom enclosure. Played some techno music with very low bass content and it literately shook the room. I had my Lexicon MC-8 prossessor volume at -4 db. The UPA-1 got slightly warm but never shut down. Highly recommend if you want a powerful amp at a low price point.

A sub! I am building two even larger subs (500L) with the Maelstrom 18"... I will try the Behringer EPX3000 in bridged mode. Cheap, effective, frugal, plenty of power etc... UPA-1 is just to good to waste on SW only! ;D BTW, welcome on the board!

Sorry to correct you but if the L in (500L) stands for liters that only equals 17.66 cibic feet in volume, if not I stand corrected. Thanks for your post.
