Something to consider is that sharing parts does not necessarily mean re-badging a product and selling at a higher price. So take the similarity of the Halcro back panel to Emotiva amps, in theory Emotiva could create and sell the back panel to Halcro, yet all the other components in the Halcro are their own design.
Just as the Mazda 3, Volvo S40 and Ford Focus (if I'm not mistaken) all share the same Ford D3 platform yet are very different cars... So sharing parts doesn't always have to mean Oppo and Lexicon style antics...

Advertise much.......................? I own what is considered hi-end products and can vouch for the Emotiva brand as I also have 3 of their amps. All perform with excellent performance, price paid not withstanding! I would not keep them otherwise. These are well made products that I am proud to own and will purchase again!
If you prefer other brands, that is fine. Don't come to this board with an attempt to diminish a fine product while advertising another brand. It makes you look infantile.

I think some folks take this comparison stuff way too seriously. Why don't we just listen to what our ears tell us? In the end isn't that what really matters? ENJOY THE MUSIC!!
