On the XSP-1 does the front panel dim and does it have to be on for the ht bypass to work?

Thanx for the pix KC . This looks like a promising piece of gear . Curious if the remote will be the aluminium brick type . Balance control ? Where's the pre-order sheet ? I think i heard vince saying they were not going to have plastic remotes any more. The xda had a small alum. remote too. You had to be there to get on the xsp preorder. I signed up for xda($250), xsp($640), xpr-5($1360), xpr-7(1599). Love getting discounts oh yea plus 2 $50 vouchers also. Its nice only living 3 hours away.

Well buggerit!!! And I just bought that USP 1 about a month ago along with 2 XPA's...and I got a PLASTIC!!!! remote Hmm....wonder if they will retro upgrade me...after all,I am not done buying gear yet.Got my eyes on the XPR series, and a prepro. Am I right to assume from what I read that there is no phono out on that new XMC ? Be real disappointed if not,was what I was waiting on,and Vince told me by phone a little while ago that it has phono stage. Hey Kiwi.regards..I live in Oregon, but from Wellington.Where are you mate?

Regarding that plastic remote, that's all there is. The USP-1 does not have an alternate, just the plastic thing that no one likes.

In mid August, I contacted Emotiva re the status of a milled remote for the USP-1. Vince (Chen) advised me that while he had seen "renderings" and a "prototype" it was "not quite ready yet". He said that more refinements and tooling were required but that I should "stay tuned". The good news is that it looks like we may eventually see a proper/milled remote. I wonder if enough of us contact Emotiva requesting a milled remote whether they will speed up the design/production process? Deral

I don't even use the remote since I have a Harmony but for those who use it, a milled remote would indeed be nice because the plastic one is pretty pathetic. Functional but pathetic. ;D

So the XMC-1 now has two sub outputs again. If the two sub outputs on the XMC-1 have individual timing and/or EQ, then the H/T bypass on the XSP-1 has an issue. The XSP-1 has two sub outputs like the XMC-1, but the H/T input only has one sub input. So using the XSP-1 with the XMC-1 would render the second sub output on the XMC-1 useless, unless the XMC-1 does not have individual controls for the sub outputs.
It is interesting that the 115v indicator is green, unlike other recent Emotiva products.

I believe that the XMC-1 will just be summed outputs, but allow multiple sub connections.

KidChewie!! ...yer a legend ...Princess Leia had no idea what she passed up when given the opportunity to kiss a wookie! Check out the sub outputs!!... loos like we might be able to have stereo subs low-passed from the L&R inputs... And switchable full-range/high-pass option to the same L/R amp/speakers... which also means full-range outs for the HT-input... whoop whoop! ...wonder what that 'proc loop' in & out are intended for? choice The Processor Loop" can be used for things such as an equalizer, DBX Expander etc. Cool - thanks for the info rpa1man

LOL ..DOH!! ...for someone that considers myself relativly 'geographic savvy'... that's kinda embarrasing ;-) ... Indeed, it'd be like asking where in Australia Wellington is - I should know better. Anyways, I'll PM you from here... so we don't kill the topic of this thread. I alkways gruble under my breath when other topics go way off, so I'll practice what I preach/grumble choice

So... XSP-1 ...I want one ;D
Super excited about the possibility of finally being able to set both LP and HP crossovers for my fronts and subs (I want two+). What would be cool is if the HT-input could/does/can? bypass the crossover circuits of the XSP-1, so I could have 80Hz xover in the Marantz for movies, and 60Hz for the 2-channel inputs...
Anyone know if this is possible?
