For me, that would be a non-issue. I'd gladly drive for an hour to the border to pick it up at a convenient U.S. postal/UPS outlet to which it would have been shipped for free.

I have the Yami 2400. I bought the UPA-7 for a 7-1 set up. I changed it to a 5-1 and bi-amped my front LSi7's. They are 4 ohm speakers. I believe yours are 6 ohm. At any rate, the sound is incredible. My wife who is not that critical when it comes to sound was blown away. BUY THE UPA-5. I have only one caveat. Once you enter the world of separate amps, you will only want more.

You guys are killing me I've been thinking about the UOM-6.2 for my deck, and the UPA-2 to power them. Now you've gone and made the price difference between the UPA-2 and the UPA-5 negligible, which would let me add a pair of UAC-8.2 in the dining room/living room area so we can go from there, through the french doors to the patio which is next to the deck. Of course, the gift certificate makes this even more of a must have upgrade. Get your hands out of my wallet!!!!!! ;D

As an owner of the 2 UPA-1s and a UPA-2 (and an RPA-1), I would be all over this incredible deal if I had the rack space.

Lonnie let's be honest. It is a burst test, not a continuous power test. He was not able to meet the listed continuous test ratings that are given. Unless you have made a deal with the devil you are still bound by the laws of physics. You don't get something for nothing unless you have installed you own little Emotiva thermal nuclear reactor in there it can't do it for more than few mili seconds!Pondering Done ;D ;D ;D I just looked again and you are right, that was the cea2006 test I was looking at. He measures 117per channel ACD. My mistake, sorry about that. Okay, about to buy this. So what's the deal. Is this able to put out 125watts continuously or not? Need honest answer from everyday-folks, not emotiva fanboi....those in the know, please answer or PM. This will be my first amp and I want it right. Was looking at xp5 but this sales practically makes it 50% cheaper.

When we say it will do something, trust me it will and I will back that up anyday of the week. ;D Okay, about to buy this. So what's the deal. Is this able to put out 125watts continuously or not? If you just look at the UPA-5 size as compared to your 6003, that will answer your question. The UPA-5 has 5 separate amps with large heatsinks as compared to the inside of your 6003 with very little amps and one heatsink. Also, much of the electronics inside is also used for all the features for the receiver and not for the amps. I guarantee you will hear a difference.

My observations were based on running my UPA-5 in my set-up replacing my Marantz SR6003, and in my buddy's set-up replacing his Denon AVR-4310. He and I have the same 8-ohm Paradigm Studio 60 v4 mains and CC-690 v5 center. So, goody for you and your Martin Logans, but your observations have f*ck all to do with mine. Looks like you're the one who doesn't know what he's "talkin ABOOT AYE" (whatever the hell that's supposed to mean).

I purchased one of these Friday, and was delivered on Saturday, can't beat Emotiva for fast shipping. This amp is a monster, I had to remove a section of paneling on the back of my entertainment center and shove 3 inches out the back to fit it on the shelf! It weight almost twice what the Yamaha 667 does. I only had time to watch Iron Man and listen to a few music tracks today, but I can really tell a difference. My speakers are playing louder with more clarity than they ever have before. I ran a quick YPAO after I connected the amp and it always sets my mains to large. I decided to just play around and I put on a song with a heavy base line and some precusion while running in 2 channel stereo. As the music was playing I switched the setting from large to small and back again to see the difference in the bass output as compared to the dual Emotiva Ultra 10s. Surprisingly the bass output was almost exactly the same. The amp was pushing the Paradigmes much harder than they ever had been before. I pulled off the dust covers and the cones were moving in and out with a much larger range than I had ever witnessed them move before. Of course after I got through playing I set them back to small for best clarity and let the Ultra subs handle the base. Overall I am impressed so far. I was planning to buy some new speakers, but with the way my system sounds now, I don't see any reason to do it at this point.

Wow, a great deal. I guess I should have waited since I ordered mine less than two weeks ago. Could have saved $175.

Best of luck with the new HT set-up! The UPA-5 is a winner but, in my opinion, you'd be better off avoiding the UMC-1 and buying a well-reviewed AVR with pre-outs instead. But that's just me. So, whatever you end up with, I hope you enjoy it! ;D

Is the UMC-1 not a good processor? depending upon your equipment it could be. the amplifiers are rock solid but please search the internet for reviews of the UMC-1.

I have seen reviews and they were not bad ,but from reading posts on here about the UMC-1 there seems to be alot of problems with audio loss and other little things,,have they fixed any of these issues? i also noticed they have a update in here also,as i have seen from people talking,it seems as even with the last update there is still problems, starting to second guess my decicion now to go with the combo setup.
