No..that amp is not a part of the emotiva internet direct line. It's part of their new pro line that will be sold through a dealer network for custom installers. The XPR-7 is still coming.

Yeah, they're different. These are made in China and they are different also. ;D (after reading this, my own post, I had to add some more smiley faces) ;D ;D ;D

They are two different beasts. I am sure there are a LOT of design differences, as the pro line was designed specifically for professional installers. I would venture to say that the pro line is considerably more versatile and has a "money is no object" set of guts inside.

Well, my little identical twin photo/humor aside, I would venture a guess that they are basically the same amp with added extras features and capabilities including a pretty faceplate for the installer boys and girls.
Actually my wife and I think the X series Emo amps including the photos of the new XPR beasts are very classy in a subtle way. I will be interested in seeing side by side photos of the outside and the inside. Sooner or later, hopefully, someone with a good camera will take care of this.
The new pro series of amps should be another hit out of the ballpark for Emotiva. It is interesting how Emotiva is finally starting to gain some respect by the skeptics at other forums. How they get all of this done with Lonnie only working two days per month is beyond me. ;D ;D ;D
