Hi guys,
it seems a lot of people have the same thought, i.e. using the XDA-1 as a pre-pro coupled with a 2 channel amp.
Now, in such a stereo set-up, how would you suggest hooking up a subwoofer as well?
The first thing that strikes me is to use the high-level inputs on the sub and run the speaker cables via the sub.
Any other/better ways of doing this?

Hi,
the XDA1 has balanced and unbalanced stereo outputs that can be used at the same time.
Given you have an stereo amp that allows balanced connection and an active subwoofer: Just connect the amp via balanced output and the subwoofer via RCA/Cinch.
The only disadvantage to a full bass management is that your mains will always be driven fullrange.
Cheers Wieland

Considered the high-level method and discarded the idea. Then I considered low-level in/out of the sub to high-pass the speakers, but that would sort of defeat the point of the XDA-1's superior output stage by running the signal through the sub's plate and crossover. So full range fronts it will be. Just need a sub that plays lower than "full range" speakers. Shouldn't be too hard to find. Looking hard at the Sierra 1. With Dave's port plugs, I can tune the speakers to roll of at 60hz on a 12dB/octave slope, which almost perfectly matches the 12db setting on the Rythmik I'm also looking at.
