I could be wrong, but the OP's approach to this thread seems to be directed at trying to embarrass Emotiva and/or Lonnie himself. There are a lot of better and more productive ways to address this type of issue. It is hard to imagine a more confrontational approach to get an explanation.
Personally, when I find such discrepancies, I simply PM or e-mail Lonnie and let him know that something is out of kilter and that he needs to check it out. Whenever I have done this Lonnie cordially thanked me for the heads-up and either corrected the discrepancy or explained why my assumptions were incorrect. Lonnie freely admits he is human and can make mistakes, but he has never tried to deceive me or cover-up any issue I have brought to his attention. His integrity is beyond reproach!

lonnie is an exceptional idividual. I have talked to him a couple of times and for Emotiva to lie is just plain insanity! These guys know what they are doing, try calling any upper management company official and try to discuss any engineering topology and will see how far you get. Not to offend anyone but why would you want to open up an amp and add the capacitance for anyhow? Do you know if they are in a series or parallel configuration? If you do not, then you could not just add the numbers up? But I guess only real people that took and passed Physics II with calc would no that ;D They do cover that principle in the capacitance and inductance chapter, I should know I design filters for a living. Not water filters, those are passive devices

I see that the title of this thread has not been changed yet. I think the OP should admit that this topic was incorrectly addressed and make the title change immediately.
I totally agree with roadrunner that the OP should have addressed his concern with Emotiva directly before making accusations of lies. What gives?

I'm just a little bothered by posts like this because one party is because accused of doing something wrong or deceptive before the accusing party has discussed the issue with the accused.

There is a difference between companies like Emotiva and much larger companies. If you call a company like Emotiva you will get to talk to someone who cares. If you call a much larger company you will more than likely talk to someone way down on the food chain that is responding to your concerns via a scripted response on their computer screen.

The boys / ladies @ Emotiva are top-notch ! I'm very certain any of your concerns will be addressed. I wouldn't speculate myself until they have had chance to correct your issues.
I'm dealing with Vincent currently with some issues, and I couldn't be more impressed with their level of customer service and professionalism.

"Lies" connotes an intent to mislead, something done deliberately. There is certainly no evidence that the error was intentional and Emo's dealings with its customers has never given anyone the basis to draw such a conclusion in this situation. I think the thing to do is to change the title. The OP does have a valid question, and Lonnie has already responded that he will check into the matter next week - so to leave the title as is, is inflammatory.

Well If I designed an amp, I surely would be able to give you an answer as quick as Five time constants, no pun intended :-) What if you designed a few hundred, could you remember off the top of your head all the part values? ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D ;D Me, I'm doing good to remember what day of the week it is. ;D ;D Seriously though, I will follow up on it.

The only reason I remember what I have for breakfast is because I have the same thing for breakfast every day.

Wow, it's like the Polk forum in here lol. I assure all members that this thread won't go in that direction. Please take care to follow the Lounge rules. Lonnie has said he'll follow up on this and report back. Please keep this thread civil. I will keep it civil, if there is a typo, I can't hear it, I think this amp sounds great and I don't think at the price it is now that anyone trying to purchase their first separate amp can go wrong. I am sure they will correct it. The bottom line is how does it sound however it is designed.
