The 95 is not due till February 2011, I'm very happy with the 93.

I dunno, looking at the BDP95, aside from its significant analog upgrades, one could possibly justify spending the extra dough just on its looks alone.

BDP-93 looks fine to me, but the specs of the BDP-95 sure are tempting! Denon reserves the XLR outputs for it's flagship Blu-ray player costing $4,500... I know for a fact, even through my AVR, that those Sabre DAC's I have in my 83SE-NE are sweet performers. And that big power supply from Rotel: yummie! Rotel doesn't even have a BDP from their own on their website.

I am looking forward to see what the nxe version for the 83 is about. This may be cheaper than buying a 95. I already have my 83 modified for all region.

Our Singapore supplier is delivering mine this morning, in about an hour. I will be the 2nd to get one of the 50 units that came in I am told....talk about a happy new year....my new years resolution was not to buy any new gear this year unless something broke. I paid for the 93 last year so I'm still true to my resolution....only 362 days to go hehehe

I must be slow. I see to upgrade MY -93 it's $400. I see that some people may want to buy the board. What is price of board? How easy DIY?

Umm, I've had a BDP-93 in my system for about a month now. Check out my post in this section titled "UMC-1 and BDP-93 The Dynamic Duo". The 93 is a VERY nice unit and, cosmetically, it is a perfect match with the UMC-1.
Sound and picture-wise, the 93 is a stellar unit. DVDs have never looked so good, almost BluRay quality. And, sound-wise, it is fantastic. I was listening to the Tommy DVD-Audio tonight and the sound was spectacular. The UMC-1 and the BDP-93 are a match made in Heaven. And when you condiser the pair together only cost $1200, well it just don't get any better'n that!
