Well, we have the "Currently playing" thread, so I thought we should have a "currently drinking" type of thread. Not to promote drinking, but to announce what we are drinking at the moment, while listening to our music or watching a movie, and to have discussions about different types of beer, hard alcohol, mixed drinks, wine, and other types of drinks that we love, and to maybe recommend or find new drinks. I hardly ever stick to one type of beer, and am always on the lookout for beers that I've never had. I also enjoy a good scotch on occasion.
Tonight I'm sipping on some Widmer Brothers Hefeweizen which is out of my home town(beer heaven) Portland, Oregon.

At least a few every week kraemer. Some of the best beer I've ever had! It's obviously very popular here.

Sadly, last night I was drinking water.
This morning, a nice helping of Red Bull.

I had the Deschutes Mirror Pond at my local Saucer a couple weeks ago. Excellent stuff.
I have three bottles in my refrigerator, at home, for a party later this week:
1. Dogfish Head Chateau Jiahu - Tasty stuff and a good conversation starter. I had hoped to get my hands on another bottle of Theobroma as my friends haven't tried it, alas, ever since "Brewmasters" began airing I've had difficulty getting Sam's more exotic beers here.
2. Boulevard Smokestack Series "Two Jokers" - This is an amazing beer. It's very dry, though, so don't try it out on folks with a palate for sweeter tastes.
3. Ommegang Adoration - Oh boy do I love Ommegang. And this beer is delightful, especially if you're looking for something with wintery/holiday seasonings. If you can score some before Saturday you should really give it a shot.
My mother and I have stashed another eight to ten similar beers in her "beer fridge" for Christmas Day. I had a hand in picking most of them out, but she snuck one in on me that I can't wait to try. It's a Duvel special edition which apparently cost an arm and a leg.
Thursday and "True Grit" can't get here quick enough... much less Saturday and that bottle of Duvel.
