When it comes to whiskey, in my opinion, Scotch rules.......from single malts to blended. Yes, I too have an acquired taste for the peaty ones. Sometimes I do stray and go Irish.

So you liked it I take it. It's strong unpeated scotch at 50% alcohol. Peated scotch can be an acquired taste. I did acquire it. Isle of Islay and Isle of Skye has some of the best. Actually, Bruichladdich probably has the best of the lot for peated stuff. Their Octomore 07.4 is an example. Not cheap at around $250 but it really is superb. Laphroaig and Lagavulin are some of the runners up. Not bad wee drams.. but not cheap either. But about half the cost of the Bruichladdich peated amber nectar. I did. As a reference point my go to Scotch is Highland Park 12 and 18. What do you think of Bowmore? The 18 yr old is very smooth.

Lindeman's Shiraz Bin 50, 2015 I opened the bottle around 9 pm. I'll be dayumed if it isn't empty now! So smooth I didn't notice it was all gone. Best bargain for the money, IMHO. I Bought 12 bottles at $3.48 each at Walmart! Buy it! You can thank me later!
