Black trim pieces for the LMC-1 chassis could also be used for the upcoming UPA-2.

I'll be the contratrian. I like the look of the silver trim pieces. It's part of what makes Emotiva look like Emotiva, IMO.

Makes sense. You could dissipate static charge prior to turning the unit on...but shouldn't it be BLUE shag?

This optional hat is just a prototype...the production models will have a taller crown and a peacock feather.

DANN! How about Rack Ears? My MPS-1 didn't come with them, but I remember them being spec'd.
I called your office, and was told I couldn't have any. HELP!
My concern really is that the MPS and XPAs weigh so much, seems like shelf mounting would be better.
Have you guys considered doing Middle Atlantic style FACEPLATES for these guys, so we can shelf mount them? Seems like you guys could use the same type of brushed metal you use in the faces of the amps... and be CHEAPER than Middle Atlantic too!
Also, I may be buying an XPA-5 and XPA-2, so rack ears or face plates for those would be very cool as well.

As far as the faceplate style, there will probably be a new design in a few years, but not sure where that will go.

They are cut to surround the face of the item. Middle atlantic makes them for many components, but haven't built them for Emotiva stuff yet. I just thought Emotiva could take the initiative and produce them for their own products! It would be CAKE for you guys!

What you could do FST if your concerned about the rack ears not being strong enough (I have the MMC-1 and IPS-1 rackmounted w/o a problem) is to get a zero spaced shelf. Most racks support it, look up the details depending on your rack, of course you will still need the rack ears so it can "look pretty" even though it will not be supporting the peice. Just my advice if you are concerned thats all, here is a link middleatlantic.com/rackac/storage/shelves2.htm
