I have some free time on my hands. So made a few new things I traded my XPA-5 for 2 UPA-1's ( i owned them before but want them back). For now the XDA-1 is just sitting there since i am using my tv speakers.  WoW! Most impressive!  The 'Emotiva letters' sculpting is splendid! Very artfully done! Bravo! * But the feet even if they look fantastic, are in my honest opinion just too long! Half yould look better. |

You'll all be happy to know that the 100 Emo Bucks didn't go to waste. I just ordered a pair of Ultra Sub 12s. I wasn't even in the market for a sub (let alone 2), but with the sale and Emo Bucks they were about 40% off.
See Emotiva. Your decision to place a full page add in Home Theater is already creating sales!

Sweet. I ordered a Ultra 12 on Monday and it should be here tomorrow. I can't wait to give it a try. Monday, like yesterday Monday? It would be great if mine are shipped fast like that. I'm watching disc 5 of The Pacific tonight with NO SUBWOOFER! I might keep the disc 'til the weekend (from Netflix) if I see them ship out tomorrow. I'll be anxious to get your initial impressions. I'll understand if you fall quiet when they arrive. Gotta have time to get acquainted. |

Yep. I ordered it yesterday morning. I'll post impressions when I get it up and running. It should be interesting to see how it sounds compared to the two other subs I've had. Watching the Pacific with a sub is almost mandatory! If my mains didn't go down so low it would have been a totally different experience. I loved the series BTW. |

It is a great series. We just watched Episode 9. It was a pretty rough one. Only one episode left. The first 8 were downstairs in the theater before I sold the Def Tech sub. For this one we watched it upstairs in 2-channel with the USP-1 and UPA-2 powering my Zu Druids. It was pretty good for not having a sub.
Which other subs did you have before?

I had a eD a5-350 and a DIY AE AV-15X (it was one of Rightbrained's subs). Both subs were physically too large for me to be able to put them where I needed to get decent room response. Hopefully this one will work out alright.
