WOW! $18 for all three movies in blueray? that's one heck of a deal... I'll hang on a little longer for the EE though. Approximate best price is.... $84 USD?

Future Shop at $64.99 and Amazon.ca same. EDIT: {Future Shop priced match Walmart; so it is now $60 as well.} Go Canucks! ;D

Got it this morning for $60 at Walmart. Futre Shop has it also at that price. * But I also got "Avatar 3D" for a very good price from my audio dealer! Alright, here's the deal I made with him: "Avatar 3D" and "Coraline 3D" for $50 even (no tax)! Both titles at that price! Or $25 each! I also got a bunch of other Blu-rays, four more in 3D and about a dozen more in 2D. I also bought a leather love seat, from my dealer too as he is closing his business! That's too bad! It has to do with health issues; his back. And him and his wife are moving to Alberta. Anyway, now I got about 50 discs all together from The Lord of the Rings Trilogy, both Theatrical and Extended Editions (DVDs and Blu-rays). Next would be LOTR EE in 3D!

I figured I'd go ahead and order it off Amazon for $69.99, as I had an Amazon $50 gift card from last Christmas that I'd forgotten about. It's nice to discover forgotten gift cards, as there was also an Outback Steakhouse, Publix and Chili's cards I'd not used yet either. ;D

Got Coraline 3D for $10 at a resell-it shop. I will likely pick up LOTR EE BD later when I can get it for about $20. Just got 11 CDs, 1 SACD, one import DVD, a graphic novel, and a BD-audio for about $100. I hate paying full price for anything.

WoW, "Coraline 3D" for only $10, you did score big time there! * My audio dealer said to me: "Robert, make me an offer for anything you would like to have in my store!" And because I am a very generous person in real life, I did make him a very generous offer. I'm not the type of person to offer the very minimum to people I know having financial and physical problems. And he knows it and that's why he asked me first on this. I got a couch* (black leather) plus seven Blu-rays (6 of them are 3D) for the $200 I offered him! ...And "Avatar 3D" is in the lot. * The couch is a love seat. -> I also offered him $900 for a pair of Paradigm Reference Studio 100 v.2 loudspeakers in rosewood finish. But because they are not his, I think he wants too much for them; $1,500! Just no way! He's selling them for a friend. ...I can do better than that somewhere else! Right now everything is pretty much up to 50% off, and eventually in few weeks at the end of the month of July (end of the lease), anything remaining from his inventory, he'll have to give it all for FREE! I W.I.L.L. BE T.H.E.R.E! ;D

Tracking says I'll get mine Friday but since USPS is the carrier it might be tomorrow. I can hardly wait. Also waiting for a couple of DVD-As from Amazon. They are taking their good time shipping those too.

So sad...I have read multi reviews that the first film has a sharper image, but a teal color cast to the whole Fellowship of the Ring. (Screenshot: Someone blue it!) Watch for a better color corrected version next year!

Another case where the "director's preference" is not the best choice. I guess I'll be messing with the color balance.

I wasn't planning on getting this as I have the TE version, thus I also have not paid any attention to the contents/differences with this release. I broke down and picked it up yesterday, but now that I've read about the color changes I'm reluctant to open them as the reviews have been mixed. At the very least, thedigitalbits has a favorable review from Bill Hunt. www.thedigitalbits.com/reviewshd/bdreviews061411.html
