Hey Everyone Check out this nice review of the Emotiva USP-1 on Audiogon. learn.audiogon.com/cgi-bin/fr.pl?rprea&1300030729&readThe reviewer is candid and really put the USP-1 through it's paces. In a follow up post here is part of what he said: "My hats off to Emotiva for this product and it is hoped they continue to flourish. Products such as this tend to dispel the myth of ultra high end."

No Problem
I figure people come here for info about Emotiva but sometimes wonder about the bias of the reviews here. I think if they saw another review from another area they wouldn't be so skeptical and also take Emotiva seriously.
As for me my USP-1 should be coming any day now and I can't wait to get it hooked up.

I wrote that piece sometime back and sill stand beside the review. The USP-1 remains in the system and continues to impress.
Emotiva should keep the USP-1 in production and update as needed, Benchmark products like this should not fall to the whim of something that is perhaps better.
Lets face it another icon product the Volvo 240 remained in production from 1975 to 1993, with only basic revisions from time to time. That is a product that stood the test of time. While a Volvo is not everyones cup of tea, it does illustrate, that when a company hits a home run, it is indeed wise not to change the lineup.
I do belive the USP-1 is just such a product, as there are very few preamps for the two channel maven.
I certainley hope that the USP-1 will remain in production, I see nothing on the horizon that can compete with it in the all important price/performance category.
