This explains a lot, over the last few years of burning in my wife and I both are wider and there is noticeably more detail than before.

This explains a lot, over the last few years of burning in my wife and I both are wider and there is noticeably more detail than before. Yes, after proper freeze-in, food has much better definition - is tighter and more precise, but I find the consumer tends to get flabby. |

Hmmm. My wife still retains a bit of harshness, bloated midrange, and the same lumpy, ill-defined bottom end as when new.
The Burn-In myth is busted.

It won't be so funny if the wives start showing up here!!  They might go off on something to the effect of a "marked decline in transient response (rise time), and sensitivity in the Tube output section" after a few years. Clearly their test methodology is flawed.....but I'm just sayin'....  |

OK I started this mess. I don't believe in santa add I don't believe in burn in time now. That said the xda-1 sounded horrible out of the box, but 10 hrs later is a champ. Thanx 4 all the sarcasm that is sometimes hard to detect in written form. That is until someone threw out unicorns and leprechauns.
