Sunfire Symphonic Reference Preamplifier

Hello, I have a question for Emotiva forum. Have any member ever owned a Bob Carver designed Sunfire Symphonic Reference Preamplifier & if so how do the SQ sound? I just purchased one from Audiogon to use until the Emotiva XSP-1 pre ships in the third quarter.

Called Emotiva today and they said XSP-1 probably not till before Christmas. So this talk of "just tweaking, almost finished" might not be true.

On the hunt for a solution myself. I might just go ahead with the Dodd buffer. I might just might be the new owner of a Virtue Two.2 amplifier so that could be perfect.
