Does anyone know of a good switch box that will allow me to choose what inputs are fed to 2 of my XPA-5's inputs?
What I want to do is have a way for my XDA to feed the amp directly but also have the UMC supply a signal when listening to anything running thru it.
So a switch that would accept 2 inputs from the XDA and 2 from the UMC. Then select whether I want to listen to the Oppo-93 thru the XDA direct to the amp, or say a movie from the Oppo thru the UMC to the amp.
AM I making sense?

Something with triggers would seem like a plan too. If you fancy getting a soldering (and the L is NOT silent damnit!) iron out, I'm sure something could be made up with some relays.

Here are some more: tldp.org/HOWTO/Home-Electrical-Control/relay.html

Thanks barryrobin and Nemesis. I'll explore those options.

I am also trying to achieve the same thing - essentially connecting 2 preamps (one for 2 channel and the other for HT) to the one power amp. Would an RCA splitter work ? such as a Y splitter or the type that Emotiva sells ?
Is there any signal/sound degradation ?
Also, although I would never intentionally do this, but what would happen if I was to turn on both preamps at the same time ? fireworks ?
