I have to agree. Not my cup of tea...... To me, they're very dark sounding speakers. Similar to Revels, to my ears. I think I like all of Emotiva's products except their speakers. Not that it's that big of a deal, there are tons of other options in that price range, and more, and less. But, in the killer amps price range, there isn't much competition for Emotiva, so it's really awesome that they fill that spot for us. +1 from me also. I think their amps are a grand slam and I have owned many. Love em!!!! ;D I haven't been that impressed with their other products-mainly speakers and processors. That's just me though.......

I have had Axiom M80's for about four years and have been great. I am going to compare them to Dynaudio X36's to see if there is much differance. I am powering the Axioms with Emotiva XPA-1's and this will remove windows without a hammer. I also have a 60watt tube amp for my classical, and the Axiom sing.

Rookie! I really do like my axioms m80's. I found they are decently hard to place properly with lots of experimentation needed for toe-in, stuff in the way, etc. But once you get it right, it's really nice. BTW, if yours are v2's, email axiom with the serial number and model number and ask them if you have v3 guts. Turns out they started incorporating all the v3 drivers and guts into the v2 models at least an year in advance. The only difference being white dustcaps and magnetic grills. The sound for these v2's with v3 guts are identical to the sound with the v3's AND they qualify for the DSP upgrade.
