Despicable Me was one of the best by far. Any Coen brothers-Fargo or No Country for Old Men. ;D

I really liked Despicable Me. it was a blind buy for me and glad I bought it. Im still looking for some deals on some of these titles you have all listed. I dont like to pay over 15 for any movie. Thats why I still dont have avatar, cars, the incredibles and a few others. But I will find them. My blockbuster is selling blus for 5 for $20 right now so I have recenently been stocking up and will keep going in there. They are closing down all the franchise blockbusters. Dish Network bought them out and decided to only keep open the big volume stores.

Many of my favorites are already mentioned. Add Kung Fu Panda to the list. Both SQ and PQ are top notch. If "skadoosh" doesn't rock your room, you need better subs. For live action, Inception has been so far the best as far as a combination of PQ and SQ in my collection. The surround effects are damn near perfect.

I can't wait for the blu ray release of Disney's "The Lion King" I heard that they are throwing everything at it that the blu ray codec has to offer. It will even be done in DTS HD/MA 7.1 to boot. Ouch! A cuna ma ta ta. ;D

On my preorder list. Now where is Nemo? oh yea... and speaking of fluorescent colours, has anybody seen the new release of Apocalypse Now? if so, how is it? -b I own the 'Full Disclosure' version of "Apocalypse Now" on Blu-ray, and it is fantastic, picture and audio wise! -> A must own BD title, with the excellent Documentary, "Hearts of Darkness: A Filmmaker's Apocalypse".

For the first time ever on Home Video, as it has always been cropped in other aspect ratios in all oher previous video formats (VHS, Laser Disc and DVD)! About that? This Blu-ray is the Real Deal! * And you ain't surprised because Bob owns about 2,000 Blu-rays, and a bunch more on DVDs. And a few hundred (300+) on HD DVD. And you probably read this right here at the Lounge!

hmm
2,000 disc's isn't much..
I own 15-20 brd's 5,000 dvd's zip on hddvd which died out when brd became the default format..
yes i know my bd count is low i only started 6 month's ago
lotr already got a 6 disc collection 3 of which are brd, what does the extended addition add in??
star trek all the movies including remake, not sure if the tvseries would translate well on blueray..
wizard of oz (which 1??? there has been atleast 4 remakes of this title including the 1st colour print)
star wars yup I want the original film print for 4,5,6 and unedited if possible..
superman original and unedited fast and the furious series jonah hex snow white and the 7 dwarf''s bambi tron +tron2+ remake personally I can't see the point of releasing black and white films to brd, now if it was transferred to colour I might consider it. robocop all movies kickboxer series american ninja series..

Books are cool, and you can certainly include them in your 'mind expansion' life progression... Good to go Barry! ___________________ Ausman, LOTREE Trilogy on Blu-ray comes with 15 discs all together (2 BD discs for each movie alone)! For more on this just google it, and be prepared to be blown away! - That is a lot of DVDs mate! ____________________ I am still blown away by the audio soundtrack from "Tron Legacy" on Blu! ...Just Wow!

If you like westerns and/or Clint Eastwood, I would highly recommend The Outlaw Jose Wales. It was just recently released on Blu-ray and they did a great job with both PQ and SQ for an older movie. Whle it may not have the effects and LFE of the likes of Tron Legacy or Dark Knight, it's a good story, has great scenery, great characters and some great lines. It's a worthy addition to any collection.
And I concur with others - Apocalypse Now on Blu-ray is outstanding ...another top-notch release.
