The thread re: ripping vinyl from the tape out jacks got me thinking that I might be able to use tape out outputs to send a signal to a zone 2 amplifier for outdoor speakers. The manual does not show voltage spec for the outputs for comparison.
Any thoughts?
Thanks.

Ah, haven't used tape out for so long I'd forgotten.
Thanks!

Wow. That is a very clever and cost effective way to run multi-zone audio. Very cool.

Wow. That is a very clever and cost effective way to run multi-zone audio. Very cool. Good simple designs are ageless. This Niles Speaker Selector, SS6, looks almost identical to one that I was using about 40 years ago. I was from Audio Technica and was also called a model SS6. The only difference that I can see is that the old one I had labeled the various switches #1, #2, etc instead of Living Room, Bedroom, etc. I recently saw a link to a speaker selector switch on another thread that looked almost identical to the Niles, but was branded with the MONSTER name, had 4 speaker selectors and was called the SS4. It makes me wonder how many vendors are essentially using the exact same switch that has a different brand name applied to it. This is quite an oddity in an industry that is noted for obsoleting product designs so quickly that it is still selling the same product design, unchanged for better than 40 years. ;D Just something that struck my "funny bone".
