Always been a fan of Sarah, with an "h". Kinda like Karla, with a "k" (name that obscure 80's band). Over this side of the pond, "Sara" would be "sah-ra" (like the noise you make when the doc asks you to say "aah") and "Sarah" would be "Seh-ra" i.e. different pronunciations. A bit like "Lara" versus "Laura" quite different. Don't get me started on US folks saying "Tera" for "Tara", again, they are quite different. (and I should know as Tara was the seat of the ancient Irish kings <G>).

Hello Lara,
My daughter's name is Lara. People are always correcting her on the pronunciation. They want to say Laura even tho' they heard Lara. People have even changed documentation that she has filled out. My wife was influenced by the movie "Doctor Zhivago". So we now have a Laura, no no a LARA.
Regards, ron526

Well it's nice to know I'm not alone in my frustration lol I thought that the popularity of Tomb Raider would make the name a little more mainstream, but unfortunately no such luck
