How about a little prog-metal from Zero Hour, featuring the melodic shredding of Jason Tipton:

I've learned many bands I wasn't aware of before. Great thread!

Moving a little slow today, went to the Big4 concert at Yankee Staduim last night; Anthrax, Megadeth, Slayer and Metallica. Awesome time. Slayer absolutely killed it.

KSE is on point with his assessment. I was @ the Big 4 concert at Yankee Stadium last night also and Slayer brought down the house!! They absolutely killed it and were unbelievable. They were the highlight of the show for me.

They were the highlight of the show for me. Nice! I have to say, I am a really big Anthrax and Megadeth fan too, but unfortunately for both bands they just didn't have a chance. Playing in broad daylight combined with people still showing up and getting settled it.....just wasn't there. Also, their sound techs were horrible. For both sets they kept trying to dial in the audio and it was just really bad all the way around. Sound mix for Slayer and Metallica was on point. Really wish Slayer could have had a lengthier set cause they just owned the place and people didn't want it to end! Although Metallica's sound was good, their timing amongst band members was a mess. Stop worrying about posing for the camera and play the damn songs. Great time regardless, had a blast. Would love to know the total number in attendance, cause there were A LOT of people there!

Sounds like a great show. I have the DVD of a show they did in Bulgaria last year and it is pretty good, even if the sound quality blows in places. I'm not overly fond of the sets from Anthrax or Metallica, but Megadeth and Slayer rock. And the Diamond Head finale is good sloppy fun.

Gigantour: Megadeth, Motörhead, Volbeat, and Lacuna Coil. Fri 1/27 - Mohegan Sun, or Sat 1/28 at Madison Square Garden. Now I need to decide which show to go to.
