Well 7.2 means I'll be looking elsewhere for my pror. Though I must admit, i like the look of the xpr-5 and still want to be one of the first to get my hands on it!!!

You are a very thoughtful husband. Please wish Mrs. Geebo a very happy birthday from me! You're very fortunate to have such an understanding wife (your recent speaker purchases) and it would be a nice gesture if you were to buy her a pair of speakers for surrounds in addition to that nice sub. So now she is insisting on an X-REF12. Well...it is her birthday.... She is soooo lucky. ;D

George and Laurence, you guys are nuts! It takes one to know two. BTW, the lower left of the XMC-1 does include a headphone and mic inputs with an HDMI input between them.

Thanks George, It just dawned on me that I'm upstairs on my 12" (computer that is, I never lie on my belly when I surf the web) and wasn't able to see it clearly.
Thanks much and enjoy your the wife's new sub! ;D

Bob, you should have married Julia Child, the French Chef. She would have straightened you out pronto!
George, note correction, my apologies.

Just finished up a very, very nice evening with many, many fine Emo members and Emo crew. What an amazing group of folks. Dan, my friend, you know how to work a party! :-) Thanks again. Left just as a little storm hit. Hopefully it will be out as fast as it came in. For all those just starting into the evening, be safe and looking forward to seeing you all in the morning. Cheers, Derek That little storm just blew my XPA-5 fuse. Will have to pick another up tomorrow to fix it. Had it plugged directly into the wall. I guess it does have its own protection circuitry.

Beautiful George! Thank you very much! ;D No problem. I stayed up just so I could get those posted for ya. But I got another busy day tomorrow at the 'fest so off to bed I go. Man, it sure is great meeting and talking to everyone.

Thanks again George for your efforts, much appreciated! Any opinion from you folks on the looks of the XPR-5 and the UMC-2. I'm not sure from the posted photos if I like the new front face design. Why did they have to change from the current design. I hope they don't change the XMC-1 and XSP-1 before the release.

That pre/pro, it is mising a second HDMI output! Bob, I'm wondering if that is an old prototype as I don't see any phono input on the rear?

Big Dan made it pretty clear that the chassis design for the XMC-1 is now final and is, in fact, what we saw there.

Yeah, in the front it is well indicated; Phono (from one of the source button; Input #6).
But then, you can always add an inexpensive Phono stage.
Also, in the back, it says HDMI Outputs 1, in plural! But where is the 2nd one?
* That HDMI connector on the front, is it Input #11, or is it Output #2?
Anyway, it should be Input #11, and a second HDMI Output would have been real nice for people with both a front projector and a flat panel HDTV. Because if it is what it is now, Emotiva is simply closing the door to those potential customers that I just described.
