Was there any mention of the reference series subwoofers (ERS ?) at Emofest 2011 ? Can't say I noticed any reference to the reference series!

Thanks Rachel for the heads-up! For those of you that haven't heard this Sampler yet (meaning those of you not at EmoFest) , I definitely recommend it!

Sampler One is great but I really enjoy the sound of Sampler Two (Heartland). Great variety of songs and I think it just suits my taste a little better! and no problem!

Colin Hay's "Don't Wait Up" is the track that gets me.

I can't wait to listen to it. Been on the road since Emofest but heading home tonight. I do want to thank Dan, Cathy, and the rest of the Emotiva family for putting on a great Emofest 2011. Dan is a super nice guy, a very generous host, and is very passionate about his company and the products they create. I know of no other company that provides such a high level of customer service and customer appreciation. Thanks Emotiva.

Hello Everyone, Lance here with one of many videos to come from Emofest 2011 & Emotiva. Just to start the videos off, I'm posting Curtis Smith's performance. Curtis Smith is a friend of Emotiva and is a local Nashville Singer/Songwriter. He performed at the very 1st Emofest in 2009 along with Emofest 2011. I'm sure this won't be the last we see of him. Enjoy the video and there will be more videos to come! vimeo.com/emotivaaudio/emofest2011curtissmith

islandman2020, I was wondering about the Airmotiv as a center. I asked Ray (from Emotiva) and he was kind enough to place an Airmotiv6 on its side in his office (where he was showing the UMC-1 3d demo) and I tell you what... the dispersion from the 6 is wide! I was concerned about this because I don't have the option of placing the 6 vertically as a center channel (not enough space between shelves in rack). Listening to it from each side of the office, I found it to work well. Hey Hemster! How's things on your side of the planet! I'm not sure about turning the speaker on its side to be the center because of the way this tweeter works. AMT's (Air Motion Transformers as on the Airmotiv's [hmmm...... wonder how Emotiva came up with that name, lol) seem to have a fairly wide horizontal pattern with a narrower vertical pattern. By turning the speaker on it's side you are reversing this pattern which in a sense would be the opposite of what you want I would think....... a narrow horizontal pattern and wider vertical pattern. Now if you could take the screws out and rotate the tweeter 90 degrees the problem would be solved! However, in looking at the tweeter frames on the the Airmotiv's this does not look possible. The frame would have to be perfectly square with the holes spaced equal distances apart to realign with the holes. The 6 looks close, but I believe it's still a little off. I guess it just comes down to how picky you are about how wide the sweet spot is. But I think the left/right mains not having the same pattern as the center could be a little distracting....but then again, maybe not! Anyway, I found the below websites about AMT's interesting. Take care! www.soundimage.dk/Different-col/AirMotion.htmen.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_Motion_Transformer
