I never get tired of hearing this in the hot summer. Especially as I went to Mt. Rainier yesterday. Low 90's in this area and absolutely gorgeous.

This takes me way, way back. My brother in about 1963 had an album (vinyl) from my memory was simply titled 12 String Guitars, or very similar. It was just an album of different guitar players on 12 strings. There were no photos on the front, just a generic type cover. On the back were the list of songs by various players. I have tried to google for it but not sure because they have later upgraded some of these type albums (new covers with players photos/names) now knowing some of the guitarists had become well known who were unknown at the time by the public or were studio guitarists at the time. It was an excellent sounding album thru his large Wharfedale WD-70 floor speakers. On the back was the name of one of the players, Glen Campbell, never heard of him but man was he good! Of course he was already well known in the studios. Glen played with the Beach Boys way back for a year or so. Glen became super famous over the years. Many folks liked his singing but never realized what a superb guitarist he was. One of the best ever. I think the album was originally titled 12 String Guitar! The Folkswingers, 1963. It was so sad to see him fade during his final 6 years with Alzheimer, although he could still play fairly well, but couldn't remember many of the words. What a great guy! Glenn Campbell was THE most sought after session guitarist ever. He was that good. Not my flavor of music but you have to give the guy the nod.

I was at that concert. Very memorable, especially remembering getting into Cathy Callahan's pants........ OH and the music for sure.
