Alison Krauss' "A Hundred Miles or More" collection. A truly beautiful and moving voice! Great songs, terrific production (understated, and NO 'fiddles' or banjos' like a lot of her 'Union Station' stuff - thank God!). Sonic quality is also outstanding on this CD (not always the case...). Highly recommended! Attachments:

Norah Jones: Little Broken Hearts. As far as recording quality goes. It is AWFUL. DJ dangermouse producing and well... Quite surprising to me because her previous stuff was quite good actually.

Ravi Shankar plays sitar like nobody else. Mesmerizing! (He's the father of Norah Jones .) hemster, you did the right thing by adding the note about Nora Jones, but it's hard to believe that it would be necessary! Anoushka Shankar is also his daughter and she also plays amazing sitar. Check out Red Sun. Attachments:

Check out Red Sun. Many people may not have heard of these stars, hence my note. I have Anoushka Shankar's album "Rise" and she has the same talent as her father. Her work is a little more eclectic than even the neoclassic stuff of Ravi Shankar from the 90s.

It's interesting to see the divergent paths from two extremely talented half sisters. Still both very musical, yet different.
