Wow, can I stop a conversation or what? Anyway, early/mid January will be best to do this at my house if we want, I'll be moving to Uvalde, TX by the end of January it seems.
I'm not sure if I'll have my new UMC-1 integrated into my system by then or just wait until I'm in Uvalde to hook it up.

Unless I'm going hunting!!!! ;D

Don't worry Tom, I've stopped plenty of conversations LOL. Like perhaps this one after I just posted hehe I'm game for where ever the G2G is but the 21st of January is a no go for me since it's my daughters bday. Other than that weekend I'm open...

I think after Christmas is good, and I haven't ruled out my home yet, but glad that Tom's place is available. I will have to see how the house cleaning goes for the decorations. If all goes as planned, I believe my home will be available as well. I am also thinking the 6th or the 13th of January.

no, not yet. tomrc had volunteered his home but I believe that was for January, and I think he's moved a bit farther west of San Antonio. Then there were a lot of views on what part of the state we would have it, prompting some to re-name this the South Texas GTG (lol). Finally, there was a bit of a debate (always friendly) about the focus of the GTG: a pure Emotiva and audio event with people bringing their audio gear for listening sessions, while others were fine with a laid back, relaxed get together with food, fun and music. Sometimes its a bit hard to keep everyone interested with so many varied views. I'm willing to travel depending on the weekend, so long as we're not talking about Amarillo (hah!) and if we're OK with San Antonio, I can check with the home schedule about hosting. If I host, this won't be a mini-EmoFest with multiple rooms and set ups but rather a laid back listen to gear (and bring whatever gear and music you want) with plenty of food and beer. If there is another Emotivian wanting to host, I would gladly step away from the stage. Otherwise, I will find out from the home calender and see what's the best option. thanks.

How far of a drive is that from San Antonio?

It's probably 200 miles. Since most participants are over there it is most likely better to have it somewhere over there. But I am open.

If we could get a definite head count, I would be willing to offer my house up. I have a plethora of room for air mattresses and what not. Backyard, screen porch, all EMO setup, grills, dedicated beverage fridge, Panny 60GT30, PS3, extensive bluray collection, extensive flac collection. It sounds like I have all the goods. I live in south Austin. My setup is not in a dedicated HT room, but it works. I could actually use some help getting my system calibrated. It would all depend on how many people were serious about coming. Something to think about.

Texas is a big state. It is funny, when coming into Texas from Louisiana on I-10, there is a sign stating that it is only 790 miles to El Paso.

South Austin is fine... Just need to pick a date that works for the majority. Calibrating a HT sounds fun by the way!

I'll see what Spursfans thinks, let Pantala blampa gaga know (lol), etc. March 17th I cannot, for sure. Otherwise, pretty flexible in Feb and March if its on a Saturday

Holy crap, I missed quite a bit of this thread, yea I'm in Uvalde now. My system has been temporarily reduced to a 2 channel system so even if everyone wanted to come here (why?)it wouldn't be good. I'd be willing to travel some for a GTG depending on the date.
I vote to keep it open to all things audio, mot just Emotiva.
