Nah. I had an EQ2 and it is far too limited for this sort of application. Plus the one I had was very noisy.

I've never used a MiniDSP so I'm certainly no expert, but after looking at their web site it seems you'd need a miniDSP Rev. B and the 4-way Advanced PEQ plugin. Perhaps someone already using one in a subwoofer setup could chime in?

Just remember after you flatten out that bass hump give yourself some time to get use to it before making any judgments because the bass “might” sound a little anaemic at first to you because you have been living with that bloated bass for so long

I hope if I do flatten it out I dont end up not liking it. Since Im mostly HT and not serious. Should I even worry about getting it flat? And my music is mostly rap so I do like bass.

All I can say is try it and see, but if it already sounds good to you and your not wanting a more accurate sound I’d leave it alone and save your money for something else you really want

but then again you might really like the more accurate sounding bass you'll hear more notes

In that case save your $$$ and be happy with what you have - it looks pretty good already really I think you are right. I have enough into the audio side that its time to get me a pj and 116" screen. Need a big screen for my big sound. This will be a learning experience as I know nothing about pj and screens.

If you like, send me a PM with any questions and I'll be happy to help.
