Hi folks- Had to post tonight after putting up Xmas tree with my sweet wife- who told me this morning to go ahead and order the XPA-1s this morning! Merry Christmas! She was going to order them and put them under the tree but wasn't sure about model. They will be fed by the USP-1 I got one month ago, along with the XDA-1 and ERC-2 I got at Emo Fest this year. They'll be powering a set of Jamo C809s. I had intended to wait 'til Emo Fest '12 to get them, but alas, the bug has bitten. The XPA-1s will replace the XPA-3 that I have now; I will build a 5.1 system with that soon. I hope the mono blocks open up the sound stage even more than the XPA-3 already does. Have a fine holiday, Douglas

Congrats! I ordered myself up an XPA-2 for Christmas. My wife was lovely enough to not give me too much trouble for it!

it’s hard enough in this economy to be an audiophile let alone married to a un-understanding wife so congrats on both accounts

I feel for the guys/gals who are married to spouses who don't share there passions. My wife was all in when it came to up grading audio gear. I'm just not sure she understands the beast she unleashed.

When I told the wife that I was going to get a integra DHC 80.3 she said " well it's been 2 months since anything new has been down there so, I guess it's about time right?" very sarcastic of course. I agreed, the conversation was then over LOL

Well here I sit staring at two brand new XPA-1'S, Three days after ordering. But I won't be able to listen until I do some work in stereo cab. I have some electrical work to do, fortunately being a liscensed electrician that will be the easy part, just need time. The holidays will provide that. I will post impressions when the jamming commences. MAN I'M STOKED. Douglas

I got the stereo cab rewired, two dedicated 20 amp lines. Added some lighting, 7 ft. of two lamp T5 flourescent lighting, very bright. I made new holes in counter and got all power and cords under deck. I put the new XPA-1s in their new home shortly thereafter, ERC-2 XDA-1>USP-1>XPA-1s>Jamo c809>smile! Iwas only able to listen for a couple cd's cause it was quite late. What I did hear was encouraging very smooth can't wait for a litle more time.
