I picked up this sweet entertainment center on Craigslist for $250.00. The lady I bought it from gave me the invoice, and it was $3,500 ten years ago! I had to cut out the back to make room for my Sherbourn SR-120--I think the manufacturer was catering to the lifestyle sound system crowd.
I like having all the wires (except for the surround speaker wires) hidden. I mounted power strips on the back and tacked in a few finishing nails to allow me to strategically drape the power and signal cables so they don't cross each other.

what brand is it? It could either go BDI (based on the price) or Ikea. LOL. Looks awesome and a score for $250.

It was made in Canada, and it came from a super high-end furniture store in DC called Theodore's. It has two steel I-beams that hold the cabinet and back panels together--definitely not Ikea! The person who sold it to me lives on the same street as Ted Leonsis, the founder of AOL and owner of the Washington Caps and Wizards. Her garage is nicer than my house. I am guessing that she got a bigger TV and needed a bigger entertainment center. My 50" only leaves a few inches to spare, although a with newer TV with a thinner bezel, I may be able to get a 55" in there. I actually found it for my parents, who finally got an HDTV (and my old SR-8100 for surround), but we realized when we picked it up that we would never get it in their basement. Lucky me! Siggie

Uncle Ted didn't found AOL (Steve Case did); they bought his company and he stayed on and became an executive there. But, cool nonetheless.

I am in the middle of renovating my system rack which was a diy project last fall. I integrated the mounting of my tv by attaching a MONOPRICE TV mount to it. It is also on 8 mini casters to allow for easy access. This is primarily cause I am a DIYer and like to change this constantly.

Absolutely gorgeous! Very classy! That's the epitome of price/performance value!
Thanks for the tip on the custom acoustic panel from Ats, that gives me lots of ideas with my photos.

Pittbullmike Your set up is awesome ! I have MMG's with the XPA-3 and very happy, hoping to do some 1.7's in the next year.
I have been looking to upgrade to a Rythmik sub pretty soon and had the same thought of placing it behind an MMG. Do you have any issues with it there?

@chuckienut, Thanks mshump, Actually I called Magnepan before purchasing the sub and told them what I was planning on doing. They said I would have no issues, Which happens to be the case. Blends in extremely well....The mags are about 4ft from the wall and 16in from the sub.

What a deal you have. Tell me a bit more about that wood and the appletv+remote case. Also do you have any issues with sidewalls or maggies so directional that it doesn't matter?
