A small bedroom that I took to 7.4.1 level using Emo XPA-11, Marantz AV7702, Sony UBP X800M2, Directv Mini, NHT 2.5 (FR, FL) with NHT Atmos Mini Add ON Modules, Jamo S-810 sub, Jamo Studio Series S 803 HCS Home Cinema System including S 803 (RR, RL) complete with two S8 ATM Atmos modules, S 801 (SR, SL), and S 81 Center. I also added an Arylic S 50 Pro for streaming. The TV is a new Toshiba Firetv. The GF loves this even though she is pretty overwhelmed by it all. To help her out, Tv remotes turns everything on and off and Dirctv changes channels verbally thanks to Alexa.

What's the story of the unicorn and the other thing that looks like penguins on some sort of levelled rocks?

What's the story of the unicorn and the other thing that looks like penguins on some sort of levelled rocks? Thanks for your interest, Garbulky! The late wife and I used to like to go antique and arts craft searching throughout the North Georgia and neighboring mountain country. The unicorn was created by a local artist and we found it in a small Helen, Georgia craft shop. The other figurine display is not penguins (even though I like penguins being a Youngstown State graduate), but an Indian display base and 7 separate little figurines. We found this in an Indian oriented shop in Highlands, N.C. Here is a better view of it.

No Native American that I know, but my great great grandfather had a smooth face - no beard!

I need to say what SOMEBODY out there besides me must be thinking? This picture is representative of one of the most beautiful home theater installations I have ever seen. A venue for an encore performance to be sure. But (here we go) how many people dream about falling asleep and waking up in a movie house? For me the problem is the literal interpretation of “Home Theater” in the home. A room like that is hardly cozy when no film is going on but rather a space to vacate when the show’s over….IMHO. My rig has all the necessary ingredients to blow you away with getting lost in film, but if you view it from several angles it appears as a cozy LIVING space. Grant it, I’ve spent plenty of time in homes of the well heeled and it’s cool having disposable space to dedicate like this. Yet I hardly dream of such a thing

There are some really great home theater setups I see here that really got me drooling! Definitely something to aspire to one day, but for now, I guess I'll have to make do with my own modest HT system. I don't have a dedicated room for music appreciation or Home Theater in my house, so unfortunately, my living room gets picked to be that space. To conform to certain aesthetical standards of what I think a living room should look like, I hid most of my A/V equipment from view (or at least tried to!). My interest is also skewed towards high-end audio than HT, which might explain my choices of equipment. Is that a Salamander Designs cabinet?

Is that a Salamander Designs cabinet? I honestly cannot remember the brand. I found it online after searching for a long time. Basically wanted an A/V cabinet with 3 sections and sturdy enough to hold several hundred pounds. Got it 14 years ago, but I can check when I get home tonight.

It looks a lot like the Salamander Designs cabinet that I bought last year, except yours has doors, that I opted out of at the time. If yours is, then I'm possibly contemplating doors for mine.

The doors are perforated heavy-gauge metal so an IR remote will work even with them closed.
