So let me get this right¡K. I get me a musical fidelity v-link MKII stick it between the computer source and my XDA 1. This will give me a asynchronous USB data link download from the computer out to my XDA 1. Damn you XDA1¡K.first the cheesy 16 bit USB connection now this¡K.I guess $250 doesn¡¦t cover it all! Thank you all ƒº Yeah but you can use the V-Link 99.00 option you dont need the new one .I bought mine on amazon for 99.00 think there is a couple on ebay for 80.00 also dont feel bad tough my new dac needs this also since I didnt buy the new ver of the dac with asyn USB

What I did not know was that the V-Dac II (it up-samples the signal) has the Async built in so you can get it at $349 on amazon if you need the DAC and the ASYNC in one product, versus the V-link and the v-dac before the version II releases. The XMC will also have the ASYNC built in plus its new DAC so I see the Musical Fidelity products as Tide-Me-Overs till the XMC comes out. I think I could sell my UMC, V-Link, Headphone Amp and have very little out of pocket for the XMC. I am still very curious on the up-sample from your tests so let us know. Can you share your configuration as well in terms of what components are going to be used like CD Player, USB, your cabling et cetera? ;D

Now Im stuck never got tracking or a reply from the seller on the Dac I bought , so everything is on hold . I knew I should of just bought a new model
