Just starting to put a home theatre together. My first purchase: LG HX350T LED projector (720p). It has a TV tuner that can decode OTA HD broadcasts. 100" diagonal image at a distance of 9 feet. So far very happy with the resolution and size considering I am moving up from a 27" CRT! Now I need a 5.1 DAC and Apple TV, and hook them up to my active/powered monitors (Audioengine A5s and Mackie MR5 MKII).

Btw, I've really enjoyed the aTV as a source. I'm hoping to get one of those Belkin smart strips to have my aTV turn everything else on when ever I start streaming to it.

Thank you for the links. Looks like they would work with an AppleTV or Blue-Ray player.

If depending on what you're doing, the simplest might just be a blueray player that can deal with the streaming that you want and has analog outputs? that would cut down on the number of devices needed.
There are a few BDs that do Netflix, AmazonPrime Instant video and DNLA (etc) streaming. They wouldn't be a bad option. Don't know if they also have volume control on those devices.
