I know it is really early to be discussing Emo-Fest 2012, but HD Sapper had a great idea and I just wanted to see how much interest their might be.
I haven't worked out any details, right now it is just an idea. If enough people were willing to ride down to Emo-Fest, I would be happy to set up a run and show everyone some of the cool things around the area. Lots of open road winding though the mountains and interesting towns. We could even make a run down to Jack Daniels if enough people wanted to do the tour (sorry, no drinking while your there though).
Like i said this is just an idea at this point, but I would be happy to do it if enough of you guys and gals were in.
So let me know what you think and any suggestions you have.

Oh man that would be fun! If I have the funds to get down there this year, I'll load the bike in my truck and drive there.

I love the idea. I would probably ride down (just over 400 miles) unless my son wants to go again. He went the last two years with me. In that case I would probably rent a trailer if we organize something.

I will make sure my ride has undergone proper "break in" and "warm up" before I start any "critical ride" :-)!

I wish I weren't so far away. Flying and renting a bike an option? Or would that cut into the audio budget too much?

I don't think it's been set yet, but if it's like the past years it will be the 1st and 2nd of September (Labor Day weekend).

Don't count on me, but maybe I can trailer out. By your sig. I am guessing you went through SLC? I was an 11bang. I went to RIP and battalion for a bit, but then found a home with JOTC in Panama.

Cool darksky! I didn't know you were Army too. I was a 13F(Fister)in an infantry company in the 101st.

Yeah, I finally went through SLC a few years ago.
I hope you can be there. You, me, and Pauly can swap war stories (Or not, and just enjoy a good ride and a weekend of audio goodness!).

It was quite a while ago for me. I was in Panama 1989-1991. What an interesting time to be down there. People have no idea what a truly corrupt government is capable of doing.
