I still got my knob ;-)
But on to more pressing items...
is that the IR detector to the right of the display? and to the right of that is it an IR sender (Blaster) ?

Nice work, coming along very well. Question: Can I get the sub to play if I use analog inputs of the XMC-1, without going through an A/D conversion? Yes..

Hooray! Glad to see this kind of progress. I'm really looking forward to seeing this come to life in my HT... Dan, the high res display looks very nice (such a huge improvement over my old DMC-1!). I'm hoping that the labels on the input buttons are modern (meaning one for Disc or Blu-Ray instead of "DVD", and the like) to go with that modern screen... Now if the buttons just had OLED displays in each of them Maybe we'll see that on the RMC-1 - Razer already have a keyboard with around 8 or 10 (full colour) OLED keys plus a full colour touchscreen built in for $200 so it might be doable.

My Marantz needs to treat this in the digital domain. I often listen to 2CH through either my player's DAC or my outboard DAC. Thanks

I just hope that the first shippings are huge so that everyone gets their XMC in time.

One of the things I love about this board... everybody wants just a little bit more... 2 HDMI outputs, OLED Keys... I sit in eager anticipation of what the gang will come up with upon the next update.

Thanks Dan for posting the picture. Things do seem to be moving along nicely. I look forward to experiencing what this product can do as a centerpiece of a HT.

I just saw a story on Best Stuff that said the new XMC-1 was going to have TacT processing. That's too good to be true! I have always wanted a TacT room correction system for my home theater but it costs $10,000, out of my price range. This is wonderful news!

Nice work, coming along very well. Question: Can I get the sub to play if I use analog inputs of the XMC-1, without going through an A/D conversion? Yes.. The essence of Matt's response to me on that question: Hi Gil, "It is my understanding that this is exactly how the bass management will work with the XMC-1. However, because it is still in development this is subject to change".

A manufacturer would be committing 'mal-practice' to agree to anything about a product in development except to say that; "Anything is possible and everything is subject to change"
