Looks cool. We'll look forward to a full report within 6 hours of the FedEx guy leaving your front porch.

$699 and conspicuously devoid of any meaningful spec's? But hey who needs them when you have a marketing department that comes up with this amazing list of features? - Fills any room with deep, clear HiFi sound
- Wireless, one-button setup
- Seamlessly integrates with the Sonos System
- Two force-cancelling speakers positioned face-to-face offer deep sound with zero cabinet buzz or rattle
- Place it anywhere in the room—even lying flat under a couch

My brother just called me to tell me about this sub. He has a great Emo, etc. system in his house but he also has a SONOS system in his bedroom and loves it.
But he also jokes that it's his BOSENOS system. ;D And $699???!!!

For that matter Emo says little about their subs.... A have a lot of Sonos stuff and its 1st class all the way... Imagine though , a decent two channel sub that you could bring from room to room... Neato!
I like Bosonos better :-)

Intriguing design and shape. I like that it can be placed almost anywhere and even disappear under the couch. Looks to be a hit WAF-wise.
I'm not convinced that it will move enough air to provide a "spine-curling, jaw-dropping, full body experience" as Sonos marketing are saying. I look forward to reading reviews on this sub.

Naw, this is for the non discriminating 2 channel guy. It would be nice to bring that and a play five out on the patio for parties..

Why would anyone commit to buying this gizmo when there are no specs available to even make a base judgment? We are committing on the reputation of the company only? Is Ferrari capable of making a lemon? And we dare to argue that our emotions are not involved in our choices. Geesh! ;D

I guess it's useful if positioning is really important. It would be interesting to see how it compares to the XRef-10 or 12

I wonder how hard it would be to build a subwoofer like this, w/the two opposing drives. is the trick into wiring it, or does it need to have a DSP for it to work w/out vibrations and sound good?

Geesh! ;D How many people are on the XMC-1 waiting list to buy a processor that doesn't even have a prototype yet let alone "specs"? Your a strange dude there Jammy. Emotion? Its all about emotion. Thats what drives this whole industry[/i]. Sonos has a stellar reputation for beautifully made, great performing products and are envied in the industry for their success, performance and top notch reliability. I have a fair amount of their stuff and it looks and sounds great. Its $700.00 Not $7000.00. If it's not a good product, send it back..... They have a 30 day return policy. Gee, where have we heard that before

This looks like a joke to me. it measures 15.8 x 6.2 x 15in and has the "subs" positioned as they would have to be less than the 6.2" width. lmao. That is not a sub. what does this use? Two 4x6" speakers at best? this can not be called a subwoofer!!!!!!!!

Unlike all of you, I will wait to hear it to decide. I simply do not believe that after all the great products this brand has created, that they would build some crap. I'm sure its not intended as a rattle your pictures off the wall HT sub, rather one that dovetails nicely with their other products...
You all sound like the very people that crap all over the Emotive stuff because its "cheap"..
Shame on you. You of all should know better......

For all the people commenting negatively, I hope your realize this sub is not marketed for you...
it's meant to be the missing piece to the Sonos system puzzle...bass. Not home theater enthusiast, shake your foundation bass or audiophile tight and accurate bass, but simple, easy to use, high WAF bass. It certainly is a nice addition to their product line and it will make many a person happy.

Odd, from seeing the price and reading the description I would have guessed that's exactly what it was going to accomplish. ;D
"Fills an entire room with thick layers of deep, bottomless sound that let you hear and feel every chord, kick, splash and roll. You won’t just hear the difference our wireless subwoofer makes—you’ll feel it in your bones."
